As a kid I remember begging and begging my parents to buy me a souvenir after the circus, Disney on Ice®, even after going to a Broadway show or baseball game.  Whether it was a bag of popcorn, a wand that lit up with fiber optic strands, a rubber clown nose or even a box of magic tricks, my parents gave in more often than not.

This is the case with most parents who take their kids on an outing to some kind of entertainment complex, and thus is the beginning of an important lesson on how you can literally be shoving wads and wads of cold hard CASH in your pocket after every show you do.

 What I am talking about here my friends, is Back of the House Sales.  If you’re not familiar with this term, that’s okay, but what it stands for is the selling that occurs after a performance, a lecture, a conference, event, etc, in the back of the room or house.  House is also an industry word for theater.  This type of selling is also considered, souvenirs, merchandising, ‘back of room sales,’ etc.

No matter which title you give it,
what it means is you are adding an
additional stream of income to
your bank account.

Before we get into detail on Back of House Sales, let’s talk a little bit about what it means to add an addition stream of income to your business.  Adding another stream of income can be a tricky thing (no pun intended). 

Many times you invest countless hours developing ideas for this side business so make yourself a little extra cash on the side and it turns out that your spending more time working on this little side project to make you a little extra cash, than you spend on your full time job.
